May, 24, 2017, 11 delegates from Laurel, Cleveland, USA arrived at campus and began their one week visit at our school.

Laurel School, as the cradle of elites women,was founded in 1896. The friendly exchanges started when HSXJTU and Laurel School formally signed an agreement of friendship on October 30, 2009. To date, more than 9 times exchange activities was conducted between two parties.

On the day of visiting, our school held a welcome ceremony for the Laurel delegation at meeting room. Principal Ms. Wang Peidong delivered a welcome speech and hoped they can benefit from this trip to China. Then, Laurel delegation participated in campus singer contest of HSXJTU and gave us a wonderful Alma Mater. Their excellent performance won the warm applause. 8 Laurel girls were paired with HSXJTU girls and stayed in their home, they spent a pleasant weektogether.

During the visit, Laurel girls experienced the featuresof HSXJTU teaching and profound Chinese culture through attending our Music, History and Martial arts classes. Besides, our school also arranged some sightseeing, such asGiant Wild Goose Pagoda , Terra-cotta Warriors andShaanxi History Museum , for Laurel delegation. These activities made them to know more about culture and history in Xi’an.

Additionally, HSXJTU and Laurel School jointly conducted a small research on scientific projects. Students from two schools made a preliminary discussion online and explored in the lab. This in-depth study and creative corporation enable all students and teachers to get more benefits.
