November 5 and 6, a fire drill was conducted on campus. This drill was aimed to enhance school’s ability in preventing and handling safety emergency which could occur on campus and improve school’s responding speed and coordination.

This drill consisted of two parts, one in academic building and the other in students’ dorm. On November 5 afternoon, Mme. Gao xiaomei, Vice Principle, held a training on all faculty and staff and also Mr. He announced this drill to all students. The drill set off with a fire alarm and following which teachers guided students to evacuate from each classroom to the plaza in order. In the end Mme. Gao commented on this drill and complimented on safe and orderly evacuation. On November 6th afternoon, Mr. Bai and Mr. Jia from Qujiang Police Office were invited to instruct school security guards, dorm staff and administrative staff practiced on how to extinguish actual fire. Soon afterwards, a drill was also held in dorm in which all boarding students were successfully evacuated to a safe area.

School attaches great importance to fire drill and all drill participants, either teachers or students, did a wonderful job. This drill is a perfect enhancement on campus safety by improving security awareness of faculty and students and school’s ability to handle emergency.
