Co-hosted by China Youth Association for Science and Technology and American Teachers Association for Science, Training and Lecture of Sino-US Clean Resource Competition for middle school students was held in HSXJTU on 9, December, 2011, more than 300 students and teachers participated in this meeting.
The speaker, Dr. Cheng Ke, expert from Solar Energy Research Institute, Northwestern Polytechnical University delivered a speech about how to provide disaster relief using solar energy, and focused on the exploration of the clean resources and how to use them to solve problems. After the lecture, Dr. Cheng also offered his expertise advice for the concerned programs of our students and answered questions their questions.
This kind of activity helps students to cultivate an awareness of environment protection and sustainable development, and better their understanding about the importance of science and technology to solve global problems. Students once again realize that energy, plays an vital role in sustainable development.
