By the coming of the Double Ninth Festival, more than 30 retired teachers of our school were organized by the School Trade Union to visit the Qujiang Relics Park on October 14th. Through such activities, the Chinese traditional virtues as respecting and loving the aged were carried on.

It was a fine autumn day and the sun shone brilliantly in the clear sky. Before setting off, Principal Wang Peidong came all the way to see the retired teachers. She said that the school would never forget the retiree who had made great contributions to the development of HSXJTU. Principal Wang, on behalf of all the staff, also presented her sweet wishes to the retired for the approaching festival.

Accompanied by the trade union leaders of Chairman Zhang Li, Vice-chairman Du Laizhou and Pan Ansheng, the retired teachers enjoyed the considerate service through the whole trip. For most of them, it was the first time to visit the Park and they were very delighted to see such splendid scene, happy smiles wreathing on their faces. In the Park, every single place witnessed the group's happiness and excitement. In Qujiang Pavilion, they leaned against the railing and gazed into the distance, instantly relaxed and happy. Before the Yinshui Monument, they cannot but sigh with deep emotion when reflecting on the past in the light of the present. By the bamboo forest, they took pictures, almost forgetting to turn back. The former Secretary Mr. Xu Qingyu and former principal Ms. Guo Pingping also participated. Hearty laughter rang out in the park.

After the trip with great joy, the retired teachers also expressed their best regards to our school.
