On 19 April, 30 teachers and students from Germany MARTA –SCHANZENBACH- GYMNASIUM GENGENBACH led by Headmaster Kopp-Kast Verena arrived in Xi’an, starting to visit the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University.

The teachers and students from the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University gave the warmest welcome to the delegation from Germany MARTA –SCHANZENBACH- GYMNASIUM GENGENBACH. Headmaster Wang Peidong delivered a warmly welcoming speech. Mrs. Wang praised that German is the great country with excellent cultural tradition, having a large of great cultural masters, such as Kant, Marx and Einstein etc. Germany MARTA –SCHANZENBACH- GYMNASIUM GENGENBACH has honorable history tradition, focusing on student’s overall development and special abilities training. They have active students’ clubs, emphasizing on international exchange. Their concept sof managing the school are very similar to ours. Developing broad and deep exchange and cooperation will be benefiting for promoting educational development and world peace and prosperity. The Headmaster Kopp-Kast Verena expressed her thanks for the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University, saying that they are willing to listen to, to see and to open their mind to exchange. She believed that this kind of exchange activity will help students with international outlook. The delegation of Germany MARTA –SCHANZENBACH- GYMNASIUM GENGENBACH watched the wonderful show performed by the teachers and students from the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University and presented the gifts to each other. The Headmaster Kopp-Kast Verena presented the photos album with the signature of Mayor from Baden-Württemberg. The Headmaster Wang Peidong presented painted plate depicted with chinese red and insignia of the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University. After the welcoming ceremony, the teachers and students from both sides took the group pictures. 27 students from Germany MARTA –SCHANZENBACH- GYMNASIUM GENGENBACH will be staying with the hostfamilies.

As we know, the delegation of Germany MARTA –SCHANZENBACH- GYMNASIUM GENGENBACH will be visiting, studying and living in our school for one week .
