Recently, the evaluation results of "the first national demonstration schools for intellectual property education in primary and secondary schools" carried out by the State Intellectual Property Office and the Ministry of Education revealed that HSXJTU stood out among all the primary and secondary schools in the country and was selected as one of the first 25 demonstration schools in the country, becoming the only school in Shaanxi Province to win this honor.

Over the years, HSXJTU has attached great importance to the cultivation of students'innovative ability while insisting on quality education and their all-round development and lifelong growth. Intellectual property education has been integrated into classroom teaching and is geared to all students. Through the development of colorful academic festivals, scientific and technological innovation, social practice, product creativity and engineering design activities, students' innovative thinking has been stimulated. To cultivate students'intellectual property awareness, innovative spirit and practical ability. After more than 20 years of efforts, the science and technology innovation and intellectual property education at HSXJTU have achieved fruitful results. In the activities of the science and technology innovation contest at home and abroad, hundreds of students have won international prizes, more than 600 people have won national prizes, and more than 200 patents have been granted to students'creative design products. Tian Bozhi, the winner of the "American Young Scientist Presidential Award", has emerged. Chen Xi, Liu Yifeng, the outstanding representative of post-90s entrepreneurs, and Lu Qiangsheng, Yang Fan, Liu Silin, Tian Boyuan, Mou Zeqi and Zhao Yue, a group of outstanding students and teams in the field of scientific and technological innovation and patent invention, were selected as the most influential young scientists of Forbes in the United States under 30 in 2017. Since 2016, HSXJTU has been awarded the National Outstanding Student Award of the National Outstanding Talents Training Program of Basic Disciplines sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Chinese Association of Science and Technology for three consecutive years.

The science and technology innovation and intellectual property education have played a great role in promoting students' growth and school education and teaching, which has also won wide social recognition. In the "First China Youth Creative Competition" held by the State Intellectual Property Office and China Education Association in 2007, HSXJTU won the group gold medal with 20 first-class awards and the honorary title of "innovative school". In 2008, HSXJTU became the first demonstration school of intellectual property education in Shaanxi Province. In January 2016, it became the first National Pilot School of intellectual property education in primary and secondary schools. In this evaluation, it was successfully promoted to the first national demonstration school of intellectual property education in primary and secondary schools. With this opportunity, the first batch of national demonstration schools for intellectual property education in primary and secondary schools will be set up. HSXJTU will actively play a leading role in demonstration schools, carry out intellectual property education in primary and secondary schools more extensively and in-depth, implement the training objective of innovative education, and make due efforts to stimulate young people's responsibility to protect intellectual property rights, tap students' innovative potential and train more innovative talents in the future.

西安交大附中长期坚持开展的科技创新与知识产权教育，对学生的成长和学校教育教学工作的起到了巨大的促进作用，也赢得了广泛地社会认可。在2007年由国家知识产权局和中国教育协会举办的“首届中国青少年创意大赛”中，西安交大附中以20名一等奖的优异成绩荣获团体金奖，并被授予“创新型学校“荣誉称号。2008年，西安交大附中成为陕西省第一所知识产权教育示范学校的，2016年 1月成为全国首批全国中小学知识产权教育试点学校，并在本次评审中成功晋级为首批全国中小学知识产权教育示范学校。
