On March 22, 2009, the delegation from US and Laurel School in the United States arrived in Xi’an and began their formal visit to the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University for 11 days.

Mr. Li Yang, director of the school office, and representatives of teachers and students, arrive at the airport to welcome the delegation from US and Laurel. At around 13:10, representatives of teachers and students of the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University holding welcome banner met with the delegation from US and Laurel at last. After 40 minutes, the delegation arrived at Qujiang Campus of the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University. When the group got to the school campus, our school hold a warmly welcome ceremony. In the Audiovisual Room in Qujiang campus, Mr. Song Jin-an, deputy-principal of the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University, delivered a warmly welcoming speech to the guests. After that, the teachers from US and Laurel introduced the delegation member and visiting plan to our students and teachers. The group had attended our entertainment programms from our students, US and Laurel students as well. The magnificent performances had received applauses from students and teachers of both schools. After the ceremony, we extended the invitations from the host families to the students of the delegation.

After the ceremony, Mr. MICHEAL COSTELLO from the delegation visited our school campus with the accompany of Mr. Zhang Bo (deputy-director of the school office) and Ms. Xiang Mei (English teacher of our school).
