March 29, 2011, HSXJTU received with a grand welcome ceremony the first delegation from Taiwan consisting of 31 people from Taipei Municipal Chien-Kuo Senior High School. Principal Wang and Vice Principal Song extended a warm welcome to the coming guests. Vice Principal Song introduced our history and education ideal. Students from Art Club presented a series of performances including dancing and Saxophone playing to greet the coming guests. Mr. Wang Dingzhong, one of the coming teachers from Taipei Municipal Chien-Kuo Senior High School, hopes to further the communication and research on a series of issues including education ideal, development, ECA, etc between our two schools. Following the ceremony, the coming guests were allocated into Grade 11 classes and then shared thoughts with our teachers and students.

Taipei Municipal Chien-Kuo Senior High School, the most famous high school with the longest history in Taiwan, bears a lofty education philosophy, fine tradition and cultural environment. Their ECA groups are also rich in diversity. Their motto of “Diligence, Simplicity, Honesty, Bravery” has been passed on for over one hundred years. Chien-Kuo High School enjoys a high reputation in Taiwan, moreover, its graduates have been all over the world.

This visit has laid a solid foundation for our further communication and exchange.
