After a five-day fierce competition from October 29 to 2nd, November 2, 2011, the 28th National Physics Competition (Final) came to an end in High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University. HSXJTU won two golds, one silver and two bronzes.
The competition this year was endorsed by Chinese Society of Physics and jointly organized by Shaanxi Society of Physics, XJTU and HSXJTU. 280 participants from 31 provinces and regions excelled from 480,000 students after nearly half-year competitions. And the prizes were honored to the students according to their total scores. 12 students from Shaanxi province took part in the competition and won three golds, five silvers and four bronzes, among which HSXJTU won two golds, one silver and two bronzes.
In the evening of November 2, the Award Ceremony was held in XJTU with the presence of Zhu Jingzhi, vice-governor of Shaanxi province, Wang Jianhua, Party Secretary of XJTU, Song Shutong, Consultant of Committee of National Physics Competition and professor of Peking University, and Lin Chunzhen, director of Committee of National Physics Competition and the professor of Peking University etc.
In his summary speech, Lin Chunzhen spoke highly of XJTU and HSXJTU for their excellent organization in this competition. An wonderful show was performed by the Art Group of HSXJTU to end this ceremony.
