In the morning of May, 26th, 2010, the students in senior Grade 3 welcomed their adult ceremony with the national anthem.

This adult ceremony was organized by senior Grade 3, the School Youth League Committee, and the Moral Department, with all the students in Grade 3 and the school administrative leaders participating. Firstly, in the name of all the students and teachers, Principal Wang Peidong offered her sincerest congratulations to the Grade 3 students on their being an adult. She said, as the youngest citizens of the country, they shouldered heavy responsibilities to promulgate Chinese culture and develop our country. Principal Wang also expressed her great hope to the students that they must have an aspiration to serve the country, the society and the ones who paid a lot throughout their growth while they achieved success, and this should be the biggest motivation during their life.

As the teacher representative, Chen Guoyong delivered a speech full of ardent expectation to all the students. She told the students they would face kinds of difficulties and challenges throughout their life time. What they should do is not only to take the chance to be successful; the more important thing is to keep an optimistic mood to face life. And she also sent best wishes to the students for the coming national college exam.

The representatives of students, parents, and teachers spoke in the ceremony, showing their specific feelings as different groups, among whom student Chen Wenyi shared his 18 years stories with all his peers; Qin Yuan’s father expressed his gratefulness to the school; and teachers of Grade 3 encouraged the students with the special words of their own. After that, all students made a solemn vow as an 18-year-old adult.

When the ceremony came to an end, Principal Wang and all the teachers stood at both sides of the “adult gate” to welcome every student going through. We believe, this is just the first step in the long journey of their promising life.
