On December 31, 2008, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education held a meeting on the inspection of model senior high school. During the meeting, the High School affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University was entitled to the First Provincial Model Senior High School with high scores. People attending the meeting included Mr. Lv Mingkai-the Deputy Director of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education, Mr. Wang Linsheng-Director of the Shaanxi Elementary Education Department, Mr. Li Zhendong-the Secretary of Shaanxi Research Institute of Education Science and Inspection Leader of Provincial Model Senior High School, Mr. Cheng Guangxu- Director of Academic Affairs Department of Xi’an Jiaotong University and also Mrs. Wang Peigdong- the Principal from the High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University. The leaders from the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education had eulogized our school’s educational concept, features and achievements, and affirmed our strengths such as in the facilities, in the reform of high-school courses, in the facilities establishment, in the cultural management, in help-the-poor education and in the overall social practice. The school actively developed the channels of quality-oriented education, which had a clear model effect in Shaanxi Province. In the speech of Mr. Cheng Guangxu, Director of Academic Affairs Department of Xi’an Jiaotong University, he mentioned that Xi’an Jiaotong University always attached a great importance to establish a model senior high school in Shaanxi. Now the Qujiang campus had been constructed. Xi’an Jiaotong University had always offered the assistance in facility, laboratory equipment, science& technology innovation so as to encourage the students to enjoy the study, to realize the all-round development, and to strive for becoming the people of good merits, highly responsibilities, creative spirits, leadership, international horizon and moral integrity.

Mrs. Wang Peidong mentioned that it was the honor and also the responsibility to become the first model senior high school in Shaanxi. From now on, on the basis of quality-oriented education, progressive and brave exploration spirits, the school will further expanded the quality-oriented education, pursue hard to the education suitable to every student, continuously improve the management of education and teaching, and actively cooperate with other schools in Shaaanxi so as to promote the common progress in the education of senior high schools, to realize the harmonious development and to make great contributions to the education in Shaanxi.
