UWM visits HSXJTU

December 13th, 2010, three o’clock, Director of UWM’s international office, Catherine, CPH director and Dr. Ken Johnson, along with other three staff, arrived at Qujiang Campus for promotion. Principal Song and other officials extended a warm greeting to the distinguished guests and also introduced our history and education.

The UW is categorized as an RU/VH Research University (very high research activity) in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. In 2010, it had research expenditures of more than 1 billion dollars. In 2008, the University was ranked the third highest in the nation. Wisconsin is a founding member of the Association of American Universities. The Wisconsin Badgers compete in 25 intercollegiate sports in the NCAA's Division I Big Ten Conference and have won 27 national championships. The University of Wisconsin–Madison is considered a Public Ivy, or a public institution that offers an education comparable to those members of the Ivy League.

David said, “China is making more and more impact on the world and China will surely play the future. UWM is expecting to accept more and more excellent Chinese students.” At 4:30 p.m. , speeches was delivered by three guests regarding American education, CPH program and admission of UWM. Audience consisting of part of 10th graders gave off applauses and laughter for the wonderful speech.
