The Sino-US Competition of Clean Resource Technology ended in Xi’an on March, 17. The teams from High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University won the only first prize and a third prize. The wonderful performance also won Mr. Liu Quanming and Ms. Li Weiwei the title of Excellent Instructor.

The Sino-US Competition of Clean Resource Technology, as a cooperation project in the field of clean resource between China and the United States, mainly aiming at the youths of the two countries, was co-hosted by China Youth Science and Technology Association of Counselors and the America Science Teachers Association. The theme of this year was using Solar Energy Rescue Schemes. The competition was simultaneously held both in Xi’an, China and San Francisco, the United States from May, 9, 2011 to March, 17, 2012, lasting for ten months.

Among the 10 finalist teams of China division, the team of our school, consisting of Yang Fan and Liu Yifeng, won the only first prize with a bonus of 6,000 dollars, and another team of our school consisting of Lu Qiangsheng, Zhang Yaodong, Wang Zhizheng, and Chen Qingquan, won a third prize with a bonus of 500 dollars. The winners of our school donated their entire bonus to our school as the School Education Fund of Science and Technology Innovation so as to encourage more students to participate in this program.

Principal Wang Peidong expressed her warm congratulations to the students on their success, spoke highly of their charity and at last urged all the students to learn from our winners and participate in this program.
